Quick stop off in Entebbe before heading to the Nile River

Uganda lies on the equator, east of Tanzania and Kenya and west of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is smaller than the United Kingdom but boasts a spectacular array of landscapes – from snow-capped mountains and savannah to lush swampland and impenetrable forests. Its remote, unspoilt parks teem with wildlife such as the famed East Africa big game species of lion, elephant and buffalo as well as primates and over a thousand species of birds. Uganda, and its neighbour Rwanda, share the unique responsibility of conserving a population of critically endangered mountain gorillas and chimpanzees, funded in no small part through the trekking fees levied on visiting guests. Arriving at Entebbe airport in the capital Kampala you can embark on a full safari itinerary encompassing the best of the diverse parks, or simply a short excursion to the southeast for gorilla trekking.

Day 1: Upon arrival into Entebbe you will be met by one of our representatives and taken on the short drive to Hotel no. 5. This charming little boutique hotel is where you will spend your first night, readying yourself for what’s to come.

Nestled in the leafy suburbs of Entebbe, is the new and stylish boutique hotel, Hotel No.5. From the moment you arrive, you are warmly welcomed and cared for. With luxurious rooms opening onto the garden and swimming pool, this is a great option for guests looking for an intimate stay in a tranquil setting. Make yourself at home – unwind beside the swimming pool, pamper yourself with a spa treatment, or work up a sweat in the hotel gym. For one of the most flavoursome dining experiences in Entebbe, carefully planned menus are paired to an international wine list, and served with pride. Day 2:  You will be collected from Hotel No 5 and driven to Kajjansi Airstrip. (about a 30 min transfer) For your scheduled charter flight from Kajjansi Airstrip to Bugungu Airstrip. You will be collected from Bugungu Airstrip and driven to Nile Safari Lodge. Spend 2 nights at Nile Safari Lodge in a Room with ensuite bathroom.

Day 3: Enjoy your morning scheduled and shared Game drive . In the afternoon, you will have a boat ride to the bottom of the falls and visit the top of the falls as well.

Day 4: Today you may choose to spend the morning at leisure or go for a morning game drive thereafter transfer to Bugungu Airstrip for your scheduled charter flight to Mweya Airstrip. Upon arrival you will meet with your guide and transfer to your lodge near the Queen Elizabeth National Park. Spend 3 nights at Kyambura Gorge Lodge in a Standard Banda with ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes All meals, house alcoholic drinks (excluding premium drinks), soft drinks, laundry services and one 30-minute complimentary massage. After you settle into the lodge you will head out on an afternoon safari.

Day 5: In the morning enjoy your Lion Tracking . In the afternoon, you will have a boat ride on the Kazinga channel. Included activities:

  • Lion Research Safari – Tree Climbing Lions
  • Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Day 6: Depart for Chimpanzee Trekking. Included activities:

  • Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura Gorge or Kalinzu Forest

The Impenetrable Forest

Day 7: You will be transferred to Kasese Airstrip and proceed for your flight to Kihihi Airstrip. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your guide and transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park . Road transfer to the lodge is around 1 hour 30 mins. Spend 2 nights at Bwindi Lodge in a standard room with ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes All meals, house alcoholic drinks (excluding premium drinks), soft drinks, laundry services and one 30-minute complimentary massage. You shall have the afternoon at leisure, or choose to go for an optional guided forest walk or Batwa pygmy community visit. Additional activities extras at the lodge

Day 8: Enjoy your Gorilla trekking experience. Included activities:

  • Gorilla Tracking – Roughly half of the world’s total gorilla population live in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Gorillas. Tracking mountain gorillas through the dense African forests is a magical experience. Only eight visitors are allowed per gorilla group each day, and to minimize possible transmission of human diseases, visitors are asked to maintain a distance of 7m (about 22 feet) from the gorillas.

    Typically, tracking can take from 3 to 8 hours and requires some agility and fitness; however, all fitness levels can be accommodated and no one should feel deterred from missing this once in a lifetime experience as your journey will be well worth the effort. It is an extraordinary feeling sitting in the dense rainforest, knowing you are in the company of these extremely rare creatures. You are allowed an hour with the gorillas before returning to the base station.

Day 9: Transfer from Bwindi Loge to Kihihi Airstrip , about 1 hour 30min transfer, for your flight from Kihihi Airstrip to Entebbe Airport.

Upon arrival you will be assisted by our airport executive through immigration formalities and luggage collection onto your connecting flight back home.
